Day 3 Prompt: Be Devoted

Prompt for the day: Be devoted.

Below you will find videos from Minette and Andrea showing our individual thoughts and visual approach to the prompts.

We have a series of 3 written prompts to help you connect with the theme of the day. You can stay at the surface and just write a few words about what devoted means to you or even simply rewrite the dictionary definition. Or you can follow one of the additional prompts to go even deeper into your connection to the concept.

We also offer a visual prompt each day to guide your creative process if desired. In the videos you will see that Andrea followed the prompts, Minette did not.

Here are a few written reflections on Be devoted from us:

Andrea: Dedicated devotion is the "secret sauce" to intention. If I intend to be in relationship with my creative practice and I do not invest my most precious commodity, time, into the practice, my relationship with dissipate. Investing emotion, time, curiosity, taking tiny steps each day, all of these actions or ways of being are vital to nurturing my relationship with my creative practice. These intentional actions are my devotion.

Minette: Leaning into devotion I feel a deep connection with my art and my connection to the divine. It is no longer a chore, a should or have to. It's a sacred time of being quiet, engaged and in sync with myself and the world around me. When I make art from this place, magic happens.
